Want to build your connection to your kids and create some fun memories with them aswell as learn or practice some outdoor survival and bushcraft skills? Yes? The get booked on. I’ve planned a fun morning where you get to hang out in the woods with one (or two) of your kids and we’ll light fires, cooks some treats, build dens, play games and craft. It’s going to be alot of fun. SO sign up and get booked on to the day. I’ve planned one day for the mums and one for the dads.

ARRIVAL:
park at the far end of the car park and wait there to be greeted. Please do not enter the site until permitted to do so.
*Please be mindful of where you children are at all times especially during arrival departure times and watch out for other children and cars*
NB It is a beautiful, private woodland and as such the owner’s privacy is to be respected. Tag Rooted Wings but please DON’T tag the location on any photos you may share on social media.
Toilets:
This is a wild site, so there are no offical toilets. We will designate an area at the start of the session -Wild wees and poos are fully permitted. This info graphic is really helpful in terms of managing it all. I will have a trowel and some toilet paper to hand.
Clothing:
The carpark is accessible from the site so feel free to load up your car with extra everything. My bottom line is always bring more not less especially when you don’t have to carry it.
Footwear: sturdy boots, wellies or trail type trainers are best. The ground is muddy and uneven with all the regular trip hazards you’d expect to find in a woodland. Good footwear is essential.

The below information must be read and accepted by all those participating in any Rooted Wings activities and sessions.
Rooted Wings on a basis of respect. Respect for others, for self and for the environment. As the responsible adult for your child we ask you to discuss listening and following instructions given to them prior arrival. Everyone is expected to adhere to any safety instructions given to them. Your safety and that of others is paramount. Consistent breaking of the safety instructions will result in a termination of the session and request to exit the site. No refund will be supplied in this instance.
I acknowledge that sessions held by Rooted Wings take place in a wild space and sometimes the unexpected can happen.
I understand that Rooted Wings or the landowners are not liable for misplaced or damaged clothing or vehicles whilst onsite.
In the event of extreme winds sessions may have to cancel, if this is the case we will advise you nearer the time. If this is the case we will advise you about rescheduling to another time or refunds in the event of not being able to attend future sessions.
Refunds are not given within a week of start date unless the space can be filled.
Risk Assessments are available, copies via email on request.
