Nature & Wellbeing Sessions for Young People

There’s no wifi in the forest but I promise you’ll find a better connnection
— Richard Louv

A woodland day specifically for young people from Year 7 upwards to hang out with a gang of pals, play games, cook on the fire, whittle and craft. All the usual fun elements you’d expect in a Rooted Wings Session. These sessions offer a specific focus on wellness and teenage mental health including times to self reflect, explore topics as brought up by the group, share challenges or experiences, support and encourage each other. They are incredible sessions. See the reviews below and come try it out!

What People Are Saying

“ The boys love the sessions, it’s given them a place of peace, they come away relaxed and are less anxious.

They have the freedom, time and space to learn and demonstrate their own abilities and discuss and talk about things that interest them as well as listening and learning about others needs and interests.

I have also noticed their concentration is better and also their self motivation.

These sessions are amazing for my teen boys, I’m very grateful.”

“X was initially nervous to join the group as he is very much a homebody, however, he has progressed so much in such a short time! The group has really helped to grow his confidence in so many ways, including making new friends and trying new foods! I’m so impressed with him getting involved and getting his hands dirty!

Although he is sometimes hesitant in joining in the discussions he has relayed a lot of the information back to me and has now taken a keen interest in his nutrition. Thank you so much!”

“This group is my daughter’s favourite group to attend. It is so much more than spending time in the woods with friends. It is the perfect balance between nature and wellbeing. The leaders bring their own unique skills, wisdom and enthusiasm to the group and I can honestly say she has benefitted in so many ways from being part of this group. Hearing other teenagers express their own anxieties and experiences has really helped her with her own worries. The group is calm, caring, fun and encouraging.”
